Video Relay Service (VRS), through a videophone appliance, is a free service for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals that allows them to make phone calls using a sign language interpreter by means of high-speed Internet connection and a videophone or webcam.
There are two VRS locations on campus:
- Cesar Chavez Student Center, Lower Conference Level, in the Rosa Parks Conference Wing
- Accessible Technology Commons (ATC), J. Paul Leonard Library, Room 83
Information is available on how to use the videophone.
For problems with the use of VRS at SF State, please contact the DPRC by telephone at 415/338-2472 (voice/TTY) or by e-mail at email@example.com.
