Procurement of Accessible Technology

SF State is committed to using the most accessible technology products and services. Accessible procurement applies to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) that are purchased, used or developed at SF State. Examples of ICT are web applications, software programs, operating systems, computers or tablet technologies, photocopiers and printers, to name a few.

What this means is that Section 508 accessibility standards must be applied when SF State develops, acquires or uses technology products and services. This is also in accordance with CSU policy which requires information technology resources and services accessible to all CSU students, faculty, staff, as well as the general public, regardless of disability.
