Learn More About the CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR)

If you are a student with a disability, the CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Student Services can provide job exploration and job preparation to ensure you receive the skills and knowledge necessary to reach your education, career, and life goals.

Autism Social Group

Fall 2022 group will meet in-person.

Meets weekly on Tuesdays from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in-person starting September 6, 2022
Meeting place: Student Services Building (SSB) Room 404 (4th floor). 

The Autism Social Group is intended for SF State students that identify as autistic or having autism. Topics to be covered include personal and academic skill-building, disability identity, campus and community resources, guest speakers/facilitators, and opportunities to play games, socialize and share experiences with peers. Attendance is encouraged the whole semester to get to know your peers and build community, but we welcome you any time!

Women with Hidden Disabilities Discussion Group

Anticipated to return spring 2023. Please see details below. 

Engage in weekly discussions about identifying as a woman with a hidden disability and learn about self-advocacy. This group is designed as a cohort model to foster a safe space and sustained dialogue, and is only open to registered participants. Interested participants will be asked to meet with the group facilitator prior to joining.
